Tennessee Classical Association - Distinguished Latin Teaching Award
The Distinguished Latin Teaching Award recognizes the effort and dedication of a K-12 teacher with the intention of fostering excellence in our profession and focusing attention upon those who have achieved it.
Criteria for distinguished teaching include: 1) evidence of students' superior performance in Latin; 2) involvement with a language club; 3) participation in language competitions; 4) students continuing with Latin in college; 5) successful program development and maintenance; 6) professional service; 7) other data, including innovative methodology, faculty leadership, and recognition beyond the individual school. The strongest nominations often include letters from former or current students as well as letters from colleagues and administrators.
